If you have gotten so busy with life and consequently out of the habit of taking 20 to 30 minutes a day for quiet time or mediation please allow me to remind you how important it is for you to put things in perspective in today’s crazy world.

We are all dealing with so much stress and upheaval, that we often allow other things to rule our lives and time, and we forget to do the very things that give us sanity and peace.

I sincerely believe that one of biggest perks of meditation is the ability it gives you to achieve a completely relaxed state where you can tune out the outside world and its endless to-do lists. It is only when you are in such a relaxed state, that you can be creative and listen to your intuition – to know the right path to take in this ever-changing world.

When you are uptight, anxiety and fearful thoughts will hold you back from listening to those inner messages of what you really want for yourself. Taking time to meditate allows you to align yourself with your highest and best good. Creating a time each day for inner reflection and listening to yourself helps to reduce your stress and allows you to feel centered and in control of your life.

One of the greatest benefits of meditation is that it removes you from your customary state of awareness and allows a new perception to flow into your consciousness – new ideas and actions that will benefit you. When practiced on a regular basis, meditation can relax and heal your body, making you more efficient mentally, creatively, and intuitively. Meditation also results in a more balanced, integrated, and harmonious personality.


Take advantage of the fall
weather – go into nature

By using quiet time we are simply stilling the ordinary, habitual chatter of our minds and relaxing the tensions of our stress-reactive bodies. I highly recommend that you take advantage of the fall weather and go into nature. Take a walk and allow mother earth to comfort and inspire you. As you quiet your mind, connect with nature, and listen for inspiration, you will receive creative solutions. The answers you are waiting for are ready to be given to you, if you will make the time and space to hear them.
